Lost Your Job? Expect a Check.

Expect Income, No Matter How Bad the Economy Is.

All of life is energy. The Law of Attraction says that what you think and feel is directly related to what you get and keep. In other words, your thoughts and feelings about money and the economy, whether you even notice it or not, become your life experience.

Even if you have good thoughts about money, however, you can still get impacted by the accumulation of thoughts coming in from the world. For example, if the television news is all about economic recession, and you see friends and co-workers (and you) losing jobs, your thought processes and confidence about money might get pulled in a negative direction.

So, what do you do if you've lost your job? How do you keep the money flowing in? Whatever efforts you make to make ends meet, be sure to first and foremost guard your mind and your words very carefully. Turn off the news and pay attention to what you are thinking about your current situation.

I'm not just preaching to the choir, by the way. I am speaking from experience here. I've survived my share of financial shockers that would frighten even the most fearless person into hiding. The only way to break out of the cycle of doom and gloom thinking is through acknowledging your current situation, not judging it, and, most importantly, expecting a check.

Here's a simple exercise to do every day, maybe even twice a day until you start seeing checks arriving into your life again. The checks can come through a new job, an inheritance, a surprise tax bonus, a belated gift, a donated item that you needed, etc. When you start seeing checks (and you will if you are really doing this faithfully), keep going and going with it. It is something that takes ongoing practice if you want the financial abundance to keep rolling in. It's highly recommended that you make this a regular habit for all of 2009 and 2010, until your mind automatically works that way. Think of it this way, if you've had a certain way of thinking about money for 30 years, or if thousands or even millions of people are losing their jobs or afraid of losing them, then it will surely take some time and effort to create a habit of anticipating abundance.

So Let's Get Practical. Here's What To Do:
1) Study your current talk and thoughts about money without judging them.

Start paying attention to what you're saying to yourself and to others about money, the economy, your stocks, savings, possessions, current hardships, etc. Are you telling people you are short on money? Do you announce to your kids repeatedly that you don't have enough? Are you thinking that your bills are so high that you're at risk for losing your house? Do you have a belief that it is harder to "make it" as a single parent or as someone without immediate family to depend on? Most of us have had these thoughts and spoken these words more than we'd care to admit, so don't feel bad about it. Just write it all down. It's just important to be completely honest about where you're starting from so you can get somewhere different.

2) Find words and thoughts that feel more empowering.

Catch yourself when you start to think or say something about lack or job loss. Now of course you have to mention losing work in order to get more work, but you don't have to dwell on it when you talk to friends and family. Look at your list of "financial thoughts" that you've written down. Now try to think of what you could say that is also true but that feels better to you.

For example, you can say to yourself, "Generations before me have lived through economic recessions, depressions and slumps and I will, too." (feels better) Then you can say, "I'm doing all I can to get income going without stressing myself or staying up worrying about it. I trust that all will be well because I am putting my best foot forward." (feels better) Next, try something like, "As I talk more hopefully and positively about finances, my luck improves with regard to money." (feels even better) Then, "Miraculous things can appear all the time; surprise checks, a fixed car, a great job, help getting my business started, a free trip somewhere relaxing where I can remember the joy of living."

As you practice writing down better feeling thoughts, imagine how it feels knowing that you are doing your best, that you have great talent, that you have done well financially so far, that surprise checks are coming. Imagine yourself cashing the checks that are coming and how it feels to be handed the money to spend in whatever way you need.

Seriously. Don't worry yourself about how the check will come. It will likely come from a totally unexpected source. Your job is NOT to find out how the money will come, as much as it is to align yourself with the thoughts and feelings of abundance, which literally radiates a very open, receptive energy to the world that others can't see, but that they can sense and respond to accordingly. I wouldn't be writing this if it has not worked for me over and over again!

TO SUMMARIZE...
•FOCUS ON INCOMING ABUNDANCE AND YOUR ABILITY TO EARN, WHILE ACCEPTING AND DEALING WITH YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.
•KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS AND TALK POSITIVE.
•FEEL GOOD. DO YOUR BEST AND ALLOW THE REST YOU NEED TO GET THROUGH THIS TIME.
•REMEMBER THAT OLD BELIEFS ABOUT MONEY TAKE TIME TO RE-PATTERN. BE PATIENT AND PERSISTENT DURING THE (USUALLY SHORT) TIME IT TAKES FOR CHECKS TO ARRIVE.
•REGULAR PRACTICE AND WRITING IT ALL DOWN MOVES YOU TOWARD BETTER AND BETTER RESULTS.

  1. Awesome. Thoughts are energy. We must think the thougths that bring us to the direction we want to go. I also advise reading books that are positive uplifting, and staying free and clear or the news on television. This is great information, because there is much truth in what you write here.
